The Apple I'll just look at those trees behind me. they're laden with beautiful crisp crunchy tasty apples. now this is the human Valley and they grow the most spectacular apples. you've ever seen so I've come to have a look to see what beautiful varieties of apples. they're growing here today.

Without a doubt the most popular Apple around today would be the pink lady. now whilst these trees in the hue and valley are looking just sensational. it might surprise you to know the pink lady was actually developed in Western Australia. where it's very hot and dry. yes it's a versatile Apple. it'll grow just about anywhere interestingly. when you cut the flesh it doesn't Brown quickly like a lot of apples do. so if you add some cause lettuce a nice dressing and some walnuts. you've got a beautiful Waldorf salad. in fact, pink lady is terrific in any salad a couple of tips on keeping your apples either harvesting or when you buy them put them in the fridge. they'll last a lot longer it slows down the maturing process and never put them on a bowl in the kitchen with bananas the banana actually releases a naturally. occurring gas called ethylene. it encourages the apples to mature too quickly.

But my favorite would have to be the old Granny Smith. developed back in 1868 in the backyard of .yes you guessed. it Granny Smith in the Sydney suburb of Eastwood. but today she's a global apple eaten and grown right around the world. for very good reason she looks good. it's a really luscious lime green color. the flavor is terrific a little bit tart. but that makes it great for cooking. it's terrific for making into apple sauces and as for apple pies. your card feat Granny Smith. they don't need an orchard this size to grow beautiful apples because there are so many different varieties.

How To Grow An Apple Tree


Today you can grow apples in a small garden a courtyard even a tub anywhere right around Australia and these low growing dwarf pink lady and dwarf. granny smith apples are perfect for planting in your garden right now. now planting into pots is easy to select a nice big pot that suits the root ball of your plant. then two-thirds fill up your pot with potting mix no need to add any fertilizer at this stage wait till spring and you've got a leaf and flower growth then take the plant out of its bag. you'll find that the roots will all come away. that's okay and then just spread those roots out over the soil and then backfill with the rest of the potting. mix hunter look Mart is nice and settled make sure that you keep the potting mix below the graft union. just there then add some seaweed solution to a watering can and give it a thorough drink.
